The plant is native to Western Europe where it grows in meadows, fields and fallow land.
Constituents:
Taraxacum contains taraxacin, taraxasterol and homotaraxasterol, fatty acids, sugars and inulin.

Dandelion has Generally Regongnized As Safe tatus (GRAS) in the US. Insufficient reliable information available while using it in pregnancy and lactation: avoid using amounts greater than those in foods.
